First Ebola case records in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. A 35 year old male tested Ebola positive in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, making it the first case in the nation since the herpes outbreak of the disease in the nation last March. The infected man whose name is being withheld by the Liberia News Agency, was showing signs and symptoms of the disease when the Grand Gedeh County Health Team picked him up from the Zwedru Central Market last Friday.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency on Wednesday, the Coordinator of the CHT, Netus Nowena said that the man is not a residence of the regon, He migrated from Ganta, Nimba County to Grand Gedeh County right after the death of nine members of his family early this month.

According to Mr Nowena, the health team was taking the man to Gbarnga, Bong County for treatment when they observed that he was showing signs and symptoms of the Deadly Ebola virus and later tested positive for the disease. Nowena also said all 36 individuals who were at the retaining center for 21 days of observation have been released without any signs or symptoms of the Ebola Virus.
