The coat of arms of Liberia is made up of a shield that contains a picture of the 19th century ship on its way to Liberia. The ship represents the ships which brought the freed slaves from the United States to Liberia. Above the shield you will find the national motto. The Motto of the Rebuplic of Liberia appears on a scroll that says “The love of liberty brought us here”, and below the shield there is yet another scroll contains the official name of the country, “Republic of Liberia”.
